"Who may enter which area?" The security aspect and a standardized authorization management is becoming more and more important in companies. Whether you want to protect your own employees or prevent unauthorized access or industrial espionage, you need effective safety measures. The use of access control guarantees controlled access to the company premises, buildings and rooms.

Booking authorizations and groups for access control are generally defined in Infotype 50 of the SAP module HCM. The following questions must be answered with the integrated access control:

• Which employee has access to which installations?
• On which days of the week has the employee access?
• At which time has the employee access?
• Have there been any unauthorized attempts to book?

To increase security, you may request the additional entry of a PIN or use biometric access readers to identify your employees.
