As the CATS (Cross Application Time Sheet) SAP module has become increasingly popular, Kaba Workforce Solutions has made its CATS interface even more user-friendly. CATS is a cross-application transaction in which actual times of individual employees (e.g. project times) can be recorded in a central time sheet and passed on to other destination applications.

The Kaba Workforce Solutions solution supplies CATS with the respective time data and ensures a hassle-free data transfer. Employee data such as attendance/absence times, project times, and service assignments are collected at time recording terminals and then entered into the Cross Application Time Sheet. In this way, the normal validation of data has already taken place. Before the time sheet's time data is transferred to other applications, such as Human Resources (HR), Controlling (CO), Project System (PS) or Maintenance (PM), the foreman can take a look at it and make corrections if needed. Afterwards, reports transfer the released data to the relevant applications. A new feature allows the time manager to handle erroneous bookings directly in SAP. With this solution, employee time data is only recorded once and is then -- via CATS -- automatically passed on to those departments where needed as basic data. A big advantage of this technology is the supervisor function that enables the verification and correction of data.

B-COMM™ for R/3 ERP PP (PDC)

B-COMM™ for R/3 ERP (PDC) is a communications software package designed and created for the recording of job times and additional job data into the SAP R/3 system.

B-COMM™ for R/3 ERP (PDC) relieves the superior SAP system from important job data collection tasks. It is designed not only for the collection of job data, but also for performing plausibility checks for further processing in the SAP system. For this purpose, B-COMM™ for R/3 ERP (PDC) runs all necessary dialogs with the peripherals and performs verifications between master records and recorded data according to SAP-approved standards. The standardized SAP IDoc ALE interface allows verified data to be taken over into the SAP system.Maintenance of master and transaction data is provided in the SAP system only. In B-COMM™ for R/3 ERP (PDC) no change of transaction data or collection data is carried out.
