In the middle of 1999, Kollsman, Inc., identified the
need to replace their existing Workforce Management application with
one that was compatible with the Oracle ERP system as part of their
mission to become Y2K compliant. As a government contractor subject
to strict guidelines, all prospective products would be evaluated on
five primary criteria:
The new solution must offer the same base time and attendance
functionality as their old system
- It needed to support 9/80 rule handling
- It had to provide labor collection to support
government reporting requirements
- It had to have a certified interface to Oracle
Manufacturing and Projects
- Kollsman needed it to be live on January 1,
2000
The only product that could meet these requirements was AutoTime,
Kaba Workforce Solutions Workforce Management solution.
By October of 1999, the company prepared an aggressive
implementation schedule involving intense training classes. In
December, training was offered to all employees, practice terminals
were set up, and the Kollsman users went live with AutoTime on time
and on budget.
