Kaba Workforce Solutions Selected by National Freight and Trucking Company

- Matheson Trucking, Inc. Selects Kaba Technology to Enhance PeopleSoft Time and Labor System -

MIRAMAR, Florida, January 10, 2007 — Kaba Workforce Solutions (previously known as Kaba Benzing America), the North American operating subsidiary of Kaba Holding AG, Switzerland (SWISS: KABN), a leading global provider of enterprise Workforce Management Solutions, today announced that Matheson Trucking, Inc. (the Parent Company), the United States Postal Service carrier, freight and trucking company has selected its communication technology B-COMM™ for PeopleSoft Time and Labor, and data collection devices for three of its business units.

Matheson Trucking Inc. owns and operates four transportation and service companies; Fast Freight, Flight Extenders, Mail Transportation, and Postal Services. Two of the company’s divisions, Fast Freight and a business unit within the Postal Services Division, Flight Extenders, an airport-ramp mail moving service, required the Kaba Workforce Solution B-COMM™ for PeopleSoft Time and Labor to automate the collection of the company’s labor data. The company manages over 1,800 employees and contractors in divisions that operate both differently and according to different sets of rules, and B-COMM™ was selected due to its integratibility and automation capabilities.

B-COMM™ communication technology links PeopleSoft Time and Labor and Kaba time collection and shop floor terminals in order to automate and validate the collection of their employee data. B-COMM™ for PeopleSoft communicates with the PeopleSoft system via XML messages, taking advantage of the PeopleSoft Integration Broker to efficiently manage the communications stream. The technology provides a secure, robust bi-directional communication channel.

Additional B-COMM™ Features

The technical requirement for running B-COMM™ for PeopleSoft Time and Labor are industry-standard components. It records an employee’s punch time, clock-in, clock-out, start breaks, start meals, and job transfer time.  Job transfer data can also include detailed task information. It records elapsed events such as vacation time, sick day, jury duty and holidays. B-COMM™ is designed with an intuitive interface making it highly user-friendly.
