MIRAMAR, FL. – July 14, 2004 – Kaba Benzing, a
subsidiary of $800 million Kaba Holding AG and worldwide leader in
time and labor management systems , today announced that SCHOTT
Corporation (Elmsford, N.Y.), one of the world's largest
manufacturers and distributors of special glass and glass-related
systems, has implemented Kaba Benzing's B-COMM™ time and attendance
and labor reporting software for SAP® solutions at its Duryea, Penn.
plant to simplify reporting of their employees.
B-COMM™ time and attendance/labor reporting software for the SAP
R/3® software solution links Kaba Benzing terminals and other
hardware data devices to SAP R/3 Release 3.1 to 4.7 (SAP R/3
Enterprise). It automates and validates the collection of employee
and labor data for entry into the mySAP™ Human Resources (mySAP HR)
solution, the time management application, and other SAP
applications.
“We appreciate the partnership that we have formed with SCHOTT
Corporation in integrating our time and labor reporting management
system with their SAP solution. We look forward to rolling out this
solution at their remaining North American facilities,” emphasizes
John Edwards, President and General Manager of Kaba Workforce
Solutions.
“SCHOTT's corporate facility in Germany has used our B-COMM™ time
and labor management system for some time. Now, their North American
facilities can interface more easily with the rest of the
corporation. Many companies in North America that have headquarters
in Europe and elsewhere are already using our solution. Like SCHOTT
Corporation, they will find such a migration works to their
advantage. We have over 800 such installations throughout the
world.”
The core of the B-COMM™ software is an SAP-certified interface
that helps ensure faultless data exchange between the individual SAP
applications and the data collection devices. This interface is kept
current with all new SAP technical developments. All data
maintenance takes place in the SAP solution.
In Duryea, SCHOTT Corporation is also using Kaba Benzing 9320
terminals and LEGIC proximity cards. They are also using Kaba
Benzing's web terminal to collect data on their PCs.
