Solutions, the North American operating subsidiary of Kaba Holding

workforce management systems, today announced that Kaba Benzing has
been certified for SAP’s open integration and application platform
SAP NetWeaver. SAP NetWeaver is a technology platform that enables
companies to integrate, analyze and disseminate relevant and timely
enterprise information for change management. Kaba Workforce
Solutions B-COMM™ ERP for SAP ERP is communications software that
is integrated into the SAP NetWeaver platform ensuring seamless data
transfer between SAP modules and data collection devices for
enterprise systems.
With this platform, new applications – whether they are from SAP
or other providers – can be easily integrated. The adjustment of
interfaces is either no longer required or becomes noticeably
easier. The powerful integration broker SAP XI (Exchange
Infrastructure) carries out the communication between a mySAP ERP
system and the Kaba Benzing subsystem for Time & Attendance,
Production Data Collection as well as Access Control. The new
certification proves once more, that Kaba Benzing – as longstanding
partner of SAP – is technologically at the forefront.
Currently, nine hundred and eighty customers worldwide deploy the
B-COMM™ ERP for mySAP ERP solution. A variety of add-on functionality
modules not provided within the SAP system, but required in daily
operations can be also be utilized via a Management Console. This
console provides a standardized program surface and integrated user
administration whereby all licensed add-on modules are automatically
activated so users can centrally access all functionalities. The
technology provides uniform and practical programming and offers
links to other applications and add-on modules for the display of
bookings, master data, alarm messages, visitor management,
individual cost-center recording etc. are also available. In
addition, a new door-opening module even allows security to remotely
open outside doors.
Finally, B-COMM™ ERP for SAP ERP can also be utilized for
Production Data Collection for the SAP modules PP, PS, and PM. Due
to its flexible program structure, highly complex customer
requirements such as paperless recording, group work, multiple
machine operation, or module-spanning job change functions can be
satisfied by sending it through the SAP system via the traditional
communication channels or via CATS (cross application time
sheet).
