- Kaba Group Reports 16% Gains and Earnings Per Share Up 15% -
MIRAMAR, Florida, April 16, 2007 - Kaba Workforce Solutions, the North American operating subsidiary of Kaba Holding AG, Switzerland (SWISS: KABN), the worldwide leader in enterprise workforce management systems, today announced that in the first half of the 2006/07 financial year, the company realized a 20% (currency adjusted) increase in sales, contributing to the Kaba Group’s overall sales gains of 16%. The Kaba Group’s growth in worldwide sales resulted in an earnings per share increase of 15%.
As of December 31, 2006, the first half of the company’s 2006/07 financial year, Kaba saw its sales grow against the same period a year ago to reach SF 590.3 million, posting a 19.9% increase in its profit to SF 42.2 million.
North American, European, Asian, Middle Eastern and African segments saw an increase in performance throughout. Access + Data Systems, which has included Data Collection since July 2006, recorded profitable growth worldwide. Globally, sales grew by 27.9% to reach SF 319.3 million due in part to the consolidation of the Wah Yuet Group in China, and CSS in the United States.
In the United States, Kaba Workforce Solutions, the company’s Workforce Management (WFM) segment, reported a currency adjusted, 20% increase in sales, realizing significant increases in net new orders by global companies including BJ Services Corporation, Kinetic Concepts USA, Federal-Mogul Corporation, ITT Corporation, Eclipse Aviation and Sulzer Pumps among others.
In addition, Access + Data Systems Americas boosted its sales by 35.2% in the United States and newly acquired CSS, a manufacturer of electronic hotel and security locks, contributed 29.5% to company growth in its first three months.
