MIRAMAR, Florida, October 31, 2007 - Kaba Workforce Solutions, the North American operating subsidiary of Kaba Holding AG, Switzerland (SWISS: KABN), the global provider of enterprise-class workforce management systems today announced that Kaman Aerospace Corporation (KAC) a subsidiary of Kaman Corporation (NASDAQ: KAMN), has chosen Kaba’s AutoTime technology to augment the aerospace company’s enterprise system for more efficient management of its nationwide workforce.
Kaman Aerospace Corporation markets and supports helicopters, and manufactures aircraft components and fuzing devices for the aviation industry worldwide. The company is also a leading manufacturer of specialty bearings for both commercial and military aircraft. Kaman Aerospace operates from various locations throughout the United States where it staffs hourly, contract and salaried employees at Four principal operating divisions; Aerostructures, Helicopters, Fuzing and Kamatics. Approximately eight hundred employees will utilize Kaba’s AutoTime application once configuration, integration and testing are complete. The AutoTime components of time and attendance and labor collection will be used at the Helicopters and Aerostructures manufacturing divisions respectively located in Bloomfield, Connecticut and Jacksonville, Florida. In addition to the above features, the AeroStructures division will also use Labor Costing.
The company opted to deploy Kaba Workforce Solutions’ AutoTime technology at the two divisions to implement greater efficiencies in its workforce management practices, and because it enhanced and could be integrated with its legacy enterprise system, WDS. AutoTime was the best choice as it conformed to the latest industry standards and has a component based design for customization. AutoTime calculates hours and costs of payroll for complex work and pay rules and is highly configurable so that when policies change the software does not have to be rewritten to accommodate the changes.
